• Contract Duration: 12-months
• Worksite Location: Hartford, CT | Hybrid
• Compensation: $40 - $50 p/h W2 only

 

What you’ll do as the Print Production Manager:

• Strategic Planning: Ensure the team adheres to critical production timelines.
• Project Management: Oversee the order and production process for customers, completing all necessary documentation, and fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency with vendors.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with printers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely production. Work with vendors to continuously improve production solutions.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze costs and quality to drive efficiency and value.
• Specification Development: Collaborate with vendors to create specifications for new components and negotiate favorable pricing.
• Quality Assurance: Manage mock-ups, prototypes, and printer proofs with vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
• Supply Chain Coordination : Communicate supply chain issues to customers and coordinate effective solutions.
• Budget Management: Obtain approvals for budgeting and forecasting, tracking actual costs against estimates.
• Innovation: Research vendor and technology advancements to foster innovation in production processes.
• Packaging Solutions: Work with the team and vendors to develop packaging, fulfillment, and postal solutions, including cost analyses.
• Deadline Adherence: Ensure all printing and production deadlines are consistently met.
• Records Management: Oversee document storage and physical record retention, ensuring compliance with retention policies.
• Process Improvement: Develop, document, and update department policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

 

What you’ll bring to the Print Production Manager role:

• Print Production Expertise: Proficient in the print production process, particularly for four-color publications.
• Paper and Printing Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of various papers, printing processes, and techniques.
• Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges with creative solutions.
• Analytical & Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills and computer literacy.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Effective Communication: Ability to keep superiors and team members informed at all stages.
• Multi-Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects from concept to production, across various media.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Industry Experience: Background in the commercial printing industry is preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree | or a high school diploma and 5+ years of experience in marketing, agency, publishing, printing, project management or supply chain management may be considered
