Sheet Metal Contractor's Trade Association is seeking a Part-Time Chapter Director for their Dayton NJ office. The Chapter Director is the sole employee of the organization and is responsible for the administration and management of the Chapter in conformity with the policies and directives established by the Board of Directors and the Chapter Membership.

Administrative Skills and Duties:

· Manage the weekly operations of the Chapter office

· Coordinate all Association programs and activities

· Plan and facilitate quarterly Executive Board meetings and Membership meetings

· Possess strong Microsoft Office suite skills, particularly Excel

· Communicate effectively with national organization, chapter members, labor partners, contractor's, other Chapter's

Financial Skills and Duties:

· Management of the financial affairs and safeguarding of the financial integrity of the Chapter.

· Working knowledge of QuickBooks, incl monthly reconciliation of accounts and payroll

· Develop annual budget for Board approval, allocating financial resources for Chapter activities and functions

· Weekly reconciliation of Industry Fund reports and checks received, producing Hours Worked reports

· Executing, with Board approval, payments for all Chapter obligations

· Overseeing preparation by CPA of annual financial statements, reviews and audits

Labor Relations Skills and Duties:

· Represent the Association effectively as liaison with SMART Local 27 to cultivate partnership and open communication

· Participate in Labor/Management events as required including triennial negotiation of the collective bargaining agreement.

Personal Attributes:

· Self-starter with the drive and initiative to successfully achieve goals and objectives

· Project a personal image that reflects positively on the association

· Ability to work alone, establish priorities and proceed with objectives without supervision

· Small non-profit operations and bookkeeping experience helpful

· Good organizational skills and detail oriented

· Available to travel if and when required and attend 4 evening/dinner meetings per year
