As a web designer, you will play a crucial role in developing our website from concept to final release. As NDOT's webmaster, you are responsible for managing the agency's website. This position will manage the creation of engaging web pages and the enhancement of current web pages. This position will get the opportunity to work closely with agency subject matter experts to manage webpage information and update information to current standards.

JOB DUTIES:
A strong web designing background is required along with knowledge and experience of website management through a content management system (i.e. WordPress). Creativity will serve this position well as will critical, time management, and collaboration skills. An understanding of how to implement analytics and user experience enhancements will be served by this role. Familiarity with state government is not required but would be beneficial.
- Create webpages to serve the agency's mission and inform the public on projects and initiatives.
- Develop web enhancements like graphs, calendars, forms, and active videos.
- Coordinate schedules, timelines, and deadlines for web content.
- Find unique enhancements to the user experience on internal or external platforms.
- Plan engaging content to match agency initiatives or campaigns.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to successfully produce webpages and web content.
- Aide in developing social media, video content, and marketing projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements/ Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, graphic arts, digital media, videography, or related field and at least three years' experience in developing, planning, and managing public relations/publicity campaigns, mass media communication activities, public information programs, and/or marketing/promotional campaigns. Required experience may substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with CSS, HTML, and SEO.
- Experience and clear understanding of UX/UI design and website management
- Experience with JavaScript.
- Background in website design, web development, web management content creation, and design software.
- Prior experience with successfully implementing and maintaining a website or multiple websites.
Other: A driver's License is required and some after-hours/weekends may be needed.
