Express Employment Professionals is looking for a dynamic, energetic individual to join us as an entry level Staffing Specialist/Recruiter team member at our Brooklyn Park location. As a Staffing Specialist/Recruiter, you will have the rewarding and diverse job of recruiting and placing candidates in a variety of jobs in Brooklyn Park and the surrounding suburbs in the the north metro.

Staffing Specialist/Recruiter

• Interview, hire, and place employees in positions that match their skill sets.
• Perform a variety of human resources functions including overseeing the screening and hiring process, leading orientation and onboarding new employees, coaching employees on attendance and performance expectations, and conducting incident investigations.
• Manage client accounts as assigned, including communication related to their staffing needs, updating them on recruiting progress, and assisting in the management of Doherty employees working at client sites.
• Understand the client’s manufacturing production schedule and staffing needs in order to recruit, place, and manage the most qualified candidates to help the facility reach their production goals.
• Provide check-in and on-boarding support for new employees; provide facility tours, create and distribute security badges, conduct new hire orientation and safety training.
• Complete safety audits to ensure employees are complying with all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. As needed, complete incident reports and conduct accident investigations following safety violations and/or workplace injuries.
• Provide periodic performance evaluations and coach employees on any performance and attendance concerns.

Staffing Specialist/Recruiter

• Ability to multi-task and quickly switch gears between having phone conversations, meeting with clients and/or candidates, working on projects, etc.
• Skilled at working in a calm manner while managing busy phones, emails, applicant, employee and client interactions.
• Great in-person and phone presence
• Willingness to attend networking events and periodic training sessions
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and comply with GMP and PPE requirements, but also work in the office on administrative and management tasks.
• Must have some flexibility with working hours and be willing to come in early or stay late as needed
