Senior Tax Manager

Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts technical tax reviews and approves all tax returns and government tax examinations of varying complexity.
• Handles full responsibility for larger tax returns, strategically delegating parts to appropriate tax preparers.
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge and skills in handling complex tax issues and providing client advisory.
• Ensures all client services are rendered within allocated budgets and stringent timelines.
• Oversees research projects related to tax to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Responsible for managing and representing clients in governmental tax examinations.
• Consistently updates personal knowledge of the tax team’s skills to effectively assign tasks and manage team dynamics.
• Supervises, trains, and develops tax staff, promoting ongoing professional growth.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• At least 5-7 years of experience in public accounting showcasing a proven progression in tax complexity and scope.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience directing the work of tax preparers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is mandatory.
• A valid and current certified public accountant’s (CPA) license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in taxation is highly preferred.
