Senior Grant Analyst – Greenlane Infrastructure, LLC

Greenlane Infrastructure is a $675M joint venture between Daimler Truck North America, NextEra Energy Resources, and BlackRock, created to design, develop, deploy and operate a nationwide, high-performance zero-emission public charging and hydrogen refueling network for medium- and heavy-duty battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles. Greenlane addresses the urgent need for publicly available, nationwide electric charging infrastructure for commercial vehicles and is a critical step toward the development of a sustainable zero-emission vehicle ecosystem across North America.

In this position, you will support the Grants, Incentives and Policy Team in a critical role as the Sr Grant Analyst. This individual contributor role will lead the grant workstream from administration, coordination, timeline management, application development and submittal, reporting, administration and close out. This role will help support build relationships with key stakeholders including funding agencies and community-based organizations, as well as lead coordination between JV partners and grant consultants. This is a key role to support the rollout of Greenlane’s public medium and heavy duty (MHD) charging and hydrogen (H2) hubs and will be an important contributor to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute and support Greenlane’s grant funding strategy and roll out plan, in alignment with Greenlane’s overarching roadmap in key target markets.
  • Analyze market trends and funding opportunities for the latest available grants to support public charging.
  • Build a tracking system and/or database and apply for relevant grants for Greenlane projects.
  • Present suggestions in written form to summarize high level details to disseminate to the Grants team and make recommendations on best course of action on various available grants.
  • Prioritize and stack various sources of funding, outlining complexities and constraints, and manage timelines to maximize awards.
  • Coordinate joint venture stakeholder input/deliverables required for application submission and reporting.
  • Develop a cost effectiveness test for grants and tracking system to quantify administration costs vs. grant awards.
  • Develop applications and submit required materials in accordance with specific funding program requirements.
  • Manage reporting and other administrative tasks associated with funding awards.
  • Track relevant KPIs and prepare/present materials to leadership team.
  • Develop compelling narratives and other templates to streamline applications.
  • Conduct stakeholder engagement and relationship building with funding agencies, community organizations, workforce, etc.
  • Coordinate meetings and maintain meeting minutes between support staff and/or consultants to develop, manage and close out grant awards as needed.
  • Provide general support as needed to the Grants team to grow, develop, and inspire a talented team of diverse disciplines within Greenlane, to bring technology-forward, and high customer value solutions.
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience with grant writing
  • Strong knowledge of ZEV ecosystem of grants, policy and incentives.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to review technical information and provide high level summaries to non-technical audiences.
  • A demonstrated aptitude for business topics.
  • Exceptional background in proofreading and editing grant documents. Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Action-bias and following a long-term vision.
  • Clear and timely communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work in fast paced, and agile work environment. Ability to be flexible and pivot as needed.
  • Team player with a growth mindset.
  • Languages: English (fluent) written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel (10-15%) as required.
  • Flexibility to work Pacific Time Zone hours to meet with clients required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Network of stakeholders in the ZEV space.
  • Knowledge of Medium and Heavy duty and/ or commercial truck space.
  • Enthusiastic about being at the forefront of ZEV public infrastructure strongly preferred
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Strong proficiency with zero-emission truck products, and markets.
