Aon is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Travel Practice. This is a virtual opportunity!

Aon Affinity Travel Practice is a leading global provider of customized, revenue-generating travel insurance programs for some of the best-known brands in consumer travel.  We collaborate with partners to optimize this important value-added product/service through program development, carrier brokerage, program structure and distribution strategies that meet defined objectives and targets. We apply intelligent analytics, innovative product design, compelling segmentation strategies and engaging creative materials to impact conversion at the point of travel purchase through our partners’ direct and indirect distribution channels.

What the day will look like

  • Serve as senior relationship leader for large, multinational enterprise clients to retain, grow and optimize customer Travel Protection programs for Affinity Travel Practice.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of insurance, underwriting and compliance (ideally in Travel and B-to-B-to-C) environments in client program management
  • Understand client objectives (revenue, risk, compliance, distribution and brand differentiation) and collaborate with C-level stakeholders  leveraging analytics, marketing, carrier/compliance, Account Teams to deliver differentiated market  value to our clients
  • Continuously monitor clients’ performance, company structure, operations, and credit/risk profile in support of the Travel program. This includes reviewing financials and presenting to stakeholders periodically to ensure full visibility into program performance on a regular cadence.
  • Work with client service team to communicate standards and service performance expectations and ensure appropriate training is provided to client and Aon TPA team.
  • Owns delivery of new solutions for clients by reviewing their needs/capabilities and gaps regularly.
  • Drive growth for the organization by working collaboratively with internal sales producers, Aon United colleagues who service other parts of client’s business, the Affinity Travel Account Executives and other team members to bring in new clients or prospects. This includes contributing to the sales process and leveraging learnings across clients.
  • Domestic Travel to client sites required.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Knowledge of Insurance structures, underwriting, travel industry, consumer travel distribution channels desired.
  • Knowledge and experience in Travel of at least 5+ years
  • Experience in product development, program optimization and merchandising within and across client portfolios to deliver revenue and margin.
  • Ability to work across clients and functions, effectively synthesize information and develop informative and persuasive decks and analyses for executives / clients.
  • Effective relationship builder, understands and finds levers for expansion internally and externally to deepen relationships.
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills, effective collaborator across stakeholders to optimize opportunities and mitigate risk.
  • Attention to detail and technical proficiency is critical, while maintaining strategic direction on business and client growth in their space   
  • Knowledge of Insurance structures, underwriting, travel industry, consumer travel distribution channels desired.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in business, preferably finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience.

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $130,000 to $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.  The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
