IT Test Analyst - POS/Web Tester

Columbus, Ohio

4+ month contract

Responsibilities:

• Participates in functional and technical design reviews to ensure understanding of relevant business processes, technologies, and architectures.
• Creates or modifies test scenarios and test cases that are in alignment with functional requirements.
• Ensures appropriate test data is defined and available in the test environment
• Executes and statuses test cases, including proof of testing.
• Clearly document defects, and retests fixes in a timely manner in required test management tool.
• Effectively communication progress and status to test lead/manager.
• Deliver quality work to meet the needs of application teams and business partners
• Work in a collaborative project environment with cross-functional teams.
• Assists in driving issues to closure.
• Complete assignments on time in accordance with the priorities identified by the test lead.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Retail experience is highly preferred
• Experience in functional integration and regression testing on POS systems.
• Understanding of POS workflows and integrations.
• Experience in website or e-commerce testing particularly focused on order creation and interfacing it downstream.
• Understanding of BOPIS (Buy online pick up in store) feature a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for backend testing and data validation a plus.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
• Experience working on projects with multiple teams and resources.
• Experience working in an onshore/offshore model.
• Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools.
• Organizational and planning skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate.
• Proactive participation in team environment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Takes pride in delivering quality work to meet the needs of clients and customers
