Job Description As a Print Production Manager you will be the primary point of contact and liaison between our clients and our Creative and Project Management teams. You will provide project and print production management expertise for print campaigns and associated programs, including scheduling, estimating, obtaining job detail information, job tracking and invoicing. You must be proactive, quick thinking, a problem solver and ultra-organized, ensuring account satisfaction and service excellence. The Print Production Manager will project manage the day-to-day execution and optimization of print and print-related projects, assessing client needs, determining goals and coordinating projects. This includes resolving and escalating issues and barriers. Responsibilities Act as primary liaison between client and creative teams, effectively collaborating and consulting with internal and external clients. Apply a broad knowledge of catalog/retail, packaging and print production workflows. Establish and promote excellent client relations through effective and proactive communications to update clients and other stakeholders on project status. Enter and track a high volume of data-related work components and updates to client project tracking system. Lead day-to-day management and optimization of print projects, entering specifications using job management software, ensuring proper priority is given to each job to meet deadlines. Demonstrate understanding in each area of project management, including design, prepress and print production. Attend and set relevant client meetings, production and project management status calls, bringing in appropriate resources from Creative Services, as needed. Maintain contact with clients, project managers, creative and print production specialists to set project milestones, create project estimates, track schedules, advise of job progress, scheduling concerns, and any requests for additional information or materials, when required. Perform invoicing, forecasting on a pre-set deadline and monitor client’s budgets for accuracy and timeliness. Track and report on quality metrics, strategize with the client and deliver services, which will attract and retain customer loyalty. Train other employees as needed. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Location: This position is hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote) and subject to change based on business needs. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent working experience with progressively expanding responsibilities. 5-10+ years’ experience in project management and print production, including an understanding of point of purchase visual collateral and associated materials used in a retail environment, preferably on a national brand. In-depth knowledge of various print methods, substrates and concept engineering used in retail marketing with the ability to evaluate superior performance. Proficiency in display engineering and manufacturing processes for corrugate, wire/metal, wood, thermoform, vinyls, acrylic and other plastics. Complete understanding of the “big picture” with the ability to think strategically and creatively problem solve, analyzing variables, demonstrating sound business judgement in providing appropriate solutions. Must be proactive, collaborative, driven and seek excellence in execution of tasks. Experience in utilizing continuous improvement tools to create and track metrics. Proven ability to interpret and understand clients’ expectations and guide the production team. Strong project management, relationship building and communication skills, including the ability to clearly interact, communicate and articulate internally and within the client organization with the level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity. Must be able to proactively listen to and understand complex issues and situations. Proven track record with strong and effective client relationships and solution delivery. Demonstrated excellence in presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Ability to anticipate needs on behalf of the client, not only to serve the client, but also to increase volume and profitability. Excellent computer skills, including strong functional knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, G Suite tools, Smartsheet and other related software. Basic working knowledge of design or development skills/software (Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat) a plus. Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment working on multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision. Additional Information The national pay range for this role is $62,800 - $111,400/year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
