Job Description

Job Summary: This position is responsible for applying paints, stains, and coatings to various surfaces in our facility, ensuring high-quality finishes, safety, and timely completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial or industrial painting, knowledge of the latest techniques, and a commitment to maintaining the aesthetic and integrity of our facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and priming as needed.

Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

Select appropriate materials and tools to achieve the best quality finish.

Maintain a clean, organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.

Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects as part of facility renovations and maintenance.

Perform routine maintenance on painting tools and equipment.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of paint materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a commercial painter.

Familiarity with painting tools, materials, and various coating techniques.

Knowledge of surface preparation and application techniques for different materials (drywall, wood, metal, etc.).

Ability to mix and match colors accurately and consistently.

Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
