JOB DESCRIPTION - OPERATIONS PRODUCTION MANAGER

DKAT Associates, Inc. has been retained by a state-of-the art beverage co-packing company in the Capital Region of NYS to seek candidates to fill the role of Operations Production Manager (OPM) . We are looking for a qualified individual to be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of production including blending, operation of the filling line, flow of products, managing the production team, and data through the system, and tasked with improving the efficiencies and quality. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of blending/brewing techniques, have an eye for detail, strong communication skills, advanced mechanical knowledge, the ability to be comfortable with change, and take proactive steps. The OPM will attend weekly production meetings and host weekly staff meetings. The manager will also interface with the client relations team and work with clients to make sure formula, process, and specifications are compatible with production capabilities. Responsibilities

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement Programs and manufacturing (Strongly preferred)
  • Execute strategies developed by the management team
  • Help identify and drive companywide improvements and future proofing strategie
  • Hold Managers responsible for all actionable tasks and oversee overall operations of facility
  • Keep all property, inventory and operations up to all standards necessary for daily operations
  • Ensure all batching and packaging instructions supplied by the client are correct and followed
  • Collaborate with QA/QC team to ensure product quality meets clients and company standards
  • Train and develop managers and staff to ensure efficient and effective performance
  • Oversight on all operations and ensure compliance with Best Practices, SQF, Organic, Kosher, and other certifications
  • Ensure machines are safely operated on all equipment as part of a team effort of “Safety First” and ensure all equipment preventative maintenance is followed
  • Maintain the water treatment system, deaeration system, the process water storage tank, carbon filter system, and complete documentation of controls maintained
  • Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor on the preventative and emergency maintenance required for operational equipment

Requirements

  • Experience working in a beverage or food production environment preferred
  • 2 years of management and/or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of blending and packaging equipment
  • Experience with fillers and seamers
  • Strong knowledge of weight measurements, math, and an eye for detail
  • Tech Savvy – able to use Google Suites and in-house app for communication and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills and attention to detail will enable success in the role
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to contribute to the improvement of work processes
  • Experience with CIP, SIP, and manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Adhere to comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practices
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
