- Maintains a professional, courteous, and helpful disposition when communicating with a customer, general contractor, or another subcontractor.
- Possesses knowledge of other services offered and can explain them.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: - Reads and understands technology plans, symbols, and circuits.
- Installs devices in wall, ceilings in both drywall and concrete.
- Understands proper spacing and mounting techniques for technology devices.
- Understands basic test equipment and functionality.
- Can perform basic conduit pipe bending.
- Reports daily work progress to job lead or manager.
- Maintains housekeeping on jobsite, and shop/storage areas.
- Keeps self and jobsite organized for maximum efficiency.
- Ability to create needed materials list for job lead.
- If needed, responsible for immediate submittal of receipts via XALT app.
- Understands correct conductors to use for each device, size of wire to pull, plenum vs non-plenum.
- Can address devices using binary addressing.
- Understands the difference and application of AC vs DC voltage.
- Able to wire gate valves, tamper switches, PIV valves, and water flow switches.
- Understands use of end of line resistors and function of system devices.
- Installs system panels, power supplies, door contacts, request to exit devices, card readers, etc.
- Installs cameras, mounts, POE injectors, and accessories.
- Able to properly aim and focus cameras and use appropriate cleaning materials.
- Installs amps, speakers, and associated paging equipment.
- Installs and terminates patch panels, face plates, RJ 45's, shielded jacks.
- Demonstrates proper routing of system cabling.
- Installs innerduct, armored fiber cabling, pulls correct fiber (multi-mode, single mode).
PROFITABILITY: - Take steps to ensure customer satisfaction, if not should be able to search out the issue and convey it to the supervisor.
- Recognizing customer's needs is the most important.
- Understands and performs according to estimated labor hours.
- Knows phase codes for the job and actively seeks feedback on actual performance compared to estimate.

SAFETY: - Always adheres to all safety policies and practices. Wears steel-toed shoes, hardhat, gloves, and safety glasses on all job sites.
- Completes toolbox talks and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms weekly.
- Completes all required inspections (Lifts, Fall Protection, Fire Extinguishers, Cords, Etc.)
- Understand and complete site-specific safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) if applicable.
- Completed OSHA 10, NFPA70E, CPR, and First Aid Training.
- Ability to identify unsafe situations and will intervene, report to the next level, and call a stop work if necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or ability to obtain certification shortly after the start date.
- NFPA70E training.
- Complete OSHA 10.
- This position may require employees to drive a company vehicle. If so, employees must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record that allows the company to ensure such individuals are under the company's insurance policies.The employee must also carry auto liability insurance.The employee will be subject to the Company's policy concerning company vehicles.
- NICET 1 Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
- Understands the functionality of Computer systems and network devices.
- Understands the mechanical functionality of the equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand and apply NFPA70E to the equipment being worked on and the work environment.
