Morgan & Morgan’s Atlanta office is seeking a Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC) in its Medical Malpractice department. This LNC will work with attorneys and paralegals who are recognized nationally for their knowledge and skills.

The candidate should have broad clinical experience as a registered nurse, and familiarity with the role of a legal nurse consultant. The position involves communicating with potential clients, reviewing medical records, analyzing issues surrounding standard of care, causation and damages, drafting medical record summaries and chronologies, performing medical literature searches and interacting with the supervising attorneys to assist in evaluating potential claims.

We stay busy! We are seeking someone with strong organizational and communication skills who has experience managing critical deadlines.

Position qualifications:


  • A Bachelors degree in Nursing and active RN license required.

  • Previous clinical experience as an RN.

  • Demonstrates adequate knowledge of managed care with emphasis on use of criteria, guidelines, and national standards of practice.

  • Demonstrates good written and oral communications, organizational and leadership skills.

  • Experience and knowledge of State and Federal healthcare regulations.

  • Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

  • Prior legal nurse consultant experience strongly preferred.
