Our legal firm is looking for an efficient, well-organized individual who is ready and eager to learn.

You'll assist with the preparation of legal documents, handle office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines.

Hourly pay is commensurate to experience. New hires are rewarded two weeks of paid vacation and one week of sick leave.

Additional benefits are negotiable after one year of employment, such as health insurance and a bonus structured system.

Responsibilities

•Answer phones and emails in a professional, warm, and friendly manner and ensure the messages are given to the appropriate department for any action items
•Communicating with clients including greeting clients for their appointments, seeing that they are comfortable and providing their requested beverage orders before their appointment
•Creating and filling out client forms
•Working with the team to meet deadlines
•Work with attorneys and paralegals to generate various legal documents
•Help with administrative tasks and office correspondence
•Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
•Schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with outside vendors for events
•Perform legal research, as needed, with help from attorneys and paralegals
•Ensure client billing is processed properly using daily time records with assistance from the accounting department
•Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents a needed
•Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently

Qualifications

•Knowledge of proper phone etiquette
•Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
•Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills
•Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•Associate's degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary
