Hall & Evans is offering a unique opportunity for a Legal Assistant/Administrative Assistant with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience to support complex civil litigation practice areas in our Downtown Denver offices. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for producing exemplary work in the best interest of our clients. The candidate will also provide administrative assistance to the Litigation Manager.
Candidates should have an outstanding attitude, excellent MS Office skills, well-developed communication abilities, effectively managing multiple projects, and strong attention to detail. Insurance defense litigation, employment, public entity, and court of appeals experience preferred. The need for confidentiality in this position is critical. Prefer someone with Excel experience.
This position is eligible for a hybrid working schedule (3-days in the office and 2-days at home) once training is successfully completed.
Requirements
- Assemble and file documents electronically;
- Prepare motion and discovery shells, motion filing;
- Expert coordination/scheduling for depositions and trial;
- Assist with preparation of trial/mediation/appellate briefs;
- Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks;
- Excellent technology skills;
- Process payment requests and coordinate the client billing process;
- Maintain client files and contact information;
- Schedule meetings, conference calls, depositions, court hearings, and travel arrangements;
- Outlook/LSS calendaring state and federal court deadlines and iManage document management program experience is highly preferred;
- Well-developed skills in editing, proofreading, and grammar;
- Ability to anticipate problems, find solutions, and prioritize work accordingly;
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills;
- Ability to exercise a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel);
- Knowledge of manipulation and edit of PDF documents using Acrobat Adobe;
- Ability to work overtime as necessary;
- Experience in Defense Civil Litigation, preferred;
- Minimum of high school graduation; business school, or related professional legal secretarial degree, preferred;
- Assist Litigation Manager with day to day tasks, including, filing documents in multiple jurisdictions;
- Schedule training sessions and assist with coordinating lunch and learns for team;
- Assist with task delegation for legal assistant coverage purposes;
- Assist with Overflow work from other legal assistants to ensure deadlines are met;
- Maintain and update master spreadsheets containing passwords for internal use;
- Calendaring and contact person for LSS Calendaring Software, and;
- Brainstorm and collaborate with manager(s) and team members to assist with updating process and procedures within departments.

The hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $74,000 annually.
