Description Role Summary: The HR Coordinator provides overall HR support to include recruitment, staffing, onboarding, employee relations and employee engagement.
Scope of the Position: The HR Coordinator will provide support for the Westmoreland, TN site consisting of 80+ employees. This position requires <15% travel.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities expected of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Facilitate the hiring process to include acting as a liaison between the Talent Acquisition Specialist and the Hiring manager.
•Serve as a liaison between the Payroll & Benefits Specialist and employees while maintaining a working knowledge of Payroll, Benefits and Worker's Compensation policies and procedures.
•Partner with staffing agencies to provide temporary employees as necessary
•Manage process for converting temporary employees to full-time
•Coordinate pre-employment forms, background checks and drug screenings.
•Initiate and process new hires, promotions, transfers, status changes and termination forms
•Coordinate the on-boarding process for new hires including new hire orientations
•Coordinate the termination process including but not limited to facilitating termination documentation, conducting exit interviews, maintaining exit interview data, tracking and filing
•Enter data into the HR Information System, ensuring the accuracy of information
•Participate in weekly staffing meetings for leadership and present current staffing data for each department
•Create and provide regular HR activity reports to the leadership team and department leaders
•Maintain employee files in accordance with record keeping and retention requirements
•Advise employees and leaders on HR programs and practices and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
•Assist managers in employee performance concerns
•Prioritize duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
•Coordinate and support employee engagement activities
•Perform all other duties as required and assigned
Position Qualifications: •Must be fully fluent in both English and Spanish •Broad knowledge of HR laws, processes and procedures
•Confidence and presence to effectively handle interpersonal relationships and sensitive HR issues;
•Strong analytical skills;
•Proficient with Microsoft Office suite;
•Effective written and verbal communication/presentation skills;
•Detail oriented;
•Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision
Education and Experience: - Associate of Science in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
- Three to five years administrative experience with 1 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources
- Broad experience using HR information systems
