Job Description

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and dependable Group Zumba/Cardio Dance Instructors At our Chasco YMCA in Round Rock, and Hutto Family YMCA. At least 1 year of teaching Zumba, Dance, Group Fitness in a live setting and understanding of working within the protocols of a large group fitness program is required.

We are offering $250 bonus for new staff!

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach Zumba/Cardio Dance class as formatted by the Fitness Director
• Maintain class attendance minimums
• Actively promote programs and classes
• Commitment to the purpose of the YMCA of Central Texas

Job Requirements:

• Group Exercise Certification preferred, but not required
• Live audition is required
• Use of headset, clear coaching, verbal and visual cueing a must
• Must be able to teach at least 50% of the class facing participants
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be reliable with a good attendance record
• Have a neat appearance and be well-groomed
• Have a good knowledge of fitness and wellness
• Be friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, possess a cooperative attitude, and be a team player
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations
• Be willing to uphold the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, respect, and faith
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of hire
• Be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, background check and sex offender check

Pay Rate: $23.00 to $30.00/hr
