We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, preparing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our programs, initiatives, and operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, a proven track record of securing grants, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. Key Responsibilities Research and identify grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other funding sources. Develop and write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals tailored to each funding opportunity. Maintain a detailed calendar of grant deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements. Collaborate with program staff to gather relevant information and develop funding proposals that align with organizational goals. Prepare budgets, supporting documents, and application materials as required by funding agencies. Track and document the outcomes of submitted grants, including awarded funds and declined applications. Build and maintain relationships with funders, including responding to inquiries and providing progress reports. Monitor trends in grant opportunities and make recommendations for pursuing new funding sources. Maintain organized records of past applications, feedback, and correspondence. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or a similar role. Demonstrated success in securing funding from government, foundation, or corporate grants. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. Strong research and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with grant management software or databases. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Skills and Competencies Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking. Knowledge of nonprofit sector trends and funding priorities. Ability to analyze and align proposals with funder guidelines and priorities. Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external funders.
