If this is you, Forest Hill Church has a job that might be a good fit. We're looking for a new Youth Ministry Director. This person will interact with students as individuals, in small groups, and in big groups. They'll spend one-on-one time building relationships with students. As part of the Next Gen team, they'll help plan and execute exciting, fun events that students will love and will bring their friends to. Everything they do will point teenagers to Jesus-introducing them to Him and helping them grow in relationship with Him! We are dedicated to making a positive impact in our community and are seeking a dynamic Youth Ministry Director to lead our efforts in engaging and empowering our youth.
What are we looking for? The Youth Ministry Director will oversee and develop programs and activities that support the spiritual, social, and emotional development of our youth. This role involves creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where young people can explore their faith, build strong relationships, and grow as leaders. This job is perfect for anyone who loves students - believers and non-believers alike - and wants to help them discover and live out their role in God's story. Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program that aligns with the mission and values of Forest Hill Church
- Plan and coordinate regular youth group meetings, Bible studies, retreats, and special events.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders and mentors to assist with youth activities and programs.
- Foster positive relationships with youth, parents, and the broader church community.
- Provide pastoral care and counseling to youth and their families as needed.
- Collaborate with church staff and leadership to integrate youth ministry into the overall church mission.
- Manage the youth ministry budget and resources effectively.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in youth ministry and incorporate innovative approaches.
Qualifications - A deep and active Christian faith, with a commitment to the values and mission of Forest Hill Church.
- Bachelor's degree in Theology, Ministry, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in youth ministry or a related role, with a proven track record of effective leadership and program development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire youth of diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Background check and child protection training required.
