This job is in person in our Charlotte, NC location.

Pay Range: $24.00-$28.85/hr.

Position Overview
The position requires the use of computer technology and mathematical skill to prepare an estimation of the amount of material needed for the construction of a home in accordance with Company policies.

Essential Job Duties:
Estimates the quantity of materials needed for Siding, roofing, gutters, & decking for residential construction according to company policy and local building code.

Assists Account Coordinators as needed with customer orders and materials lists.

Review actual vs. estimated materials on completion of each project.

Complies with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

Other duties as assigned by location management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Minimum education preferred - Technical Degree in engineering or related area.

Minimum experience required - 2 or more years of construction and building materials related experience.

Special skills required
Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials.

Ability to interpret building plans in diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to operate Microsoft Windows based networked computer systems and specialized software application programs and to instruct others in effective use of application software (including Microsoft Excel).

Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills.

Special Knowledge required
Understanding of measurements and basic algebraic math principles.

Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time, standing and walking, bending or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
