Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist I who will handle routine aspects of project control assignments under close supervision. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills and work towards greater independence. The successful candidate will have a foundational understanding of project controls principles and experience with relevant software. This position typically supports Green I projects as defined by the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or a related field.

or

A minimum of 2 years of experience in project controls can substitute for the degree requirement.

Demonstrated understanding of basic project controls principles.

Experience in project-related work or academic projects.

Familiarity with project management and project controls concepts.

Experience with computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets.

Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or a related field.

PMI or AACE certification (such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, or AACE-EVP).

Proficiency with software such as MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Powerplant, Emax, and PeopleSoft.

Ability to interact and build relationships with team members and individuals at various levels within the organization, as well as with external suppliers and vendors.
