Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Structural Engineering to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the structural engineering team, overseeing the design and implementation of complex projects, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of our work. This is a permanent full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects and collaborate with a team of talented professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of structural engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Oversee the design and development of complex structural engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure the accuracy and quality of our work, and to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Oversee the proposal process, working closely with our business development team to secure new projects.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of structural engineering, and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into our work.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design.
  • Proven experience in project management, including project scheduling, budgeting, and proposal development.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Exceptional technical skills, with a deep understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD and structural analysis software.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
