We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist to join our team. Responsibilities:

Data Acquisition and Analysis:

• Gather, clean, and prepare large datasets from various sources within the LTL network.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Develop and implement data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.

Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling:

• Develop and deploy predictive models to forecast demand, optimize routes, and improve operational efficiency.
• Utilize machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to solve complex business problems.
• Evaluate model performance and iterate on improvements.

Data-Driven Insights:

• Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
• Communicate findings effectively through clear and concise visualizations and presentations.

Network Optimization:

• Analyze network performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop optimization models to optimize route planning, load balancing, and resource allocation.
• Implement strategies to reduce costs and improve service levels.

Innovation and Research:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.
• Explore new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation within the LTL industry.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, statistics, operations research, industrial engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in applying data science techniques to solve real-world business problems, preferably within the transportation industry.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
• Expertise in data science libraries and tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies.

Analytical Skills:

• Ability to analyze complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaboration Skills:

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
