Airport Custodian II

Full Time

Pay Grade: $33,100 - $37694.25 (BS-045-010, BS-045-015, BS-045-021)

General Summary: Performs manual tasks and operates equipment for the specific purpose of maintaining the cleanliness of the Airport Terminal and related facilities.

Responsibilities

• Collects and removes trash from various containers inside and outside of the Airport Terminal Building, all Commission offices, restrooms, and public areas.
• Maintains all types of flooring surfaces, i.e., ceramic, vinyl floor tile and carpet using various types of manual and automated cleaning processes including, vacuuming, dust mopping, trash removal, and wet mopping.
• Cleans and maintains Commission offices and all public areas including but not limited to, restrooms, passenger ready areas, conference rooms, counters, etc. This includes but is not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Other assigned job duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret chemical labels and MSDS sheets at a level normally acquired through the completion of High School or GED.
• Training and experience in custodial care of commercial buildings.
• Internal Candidates Eligibility: An employee must normally have completed at least twelve (12) consecutive months of employment in the current position before being eligible to apply for a new position within the Commission.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hiring range depending on experience $15.00 - $17.08
