As a Construction Superintendent at Pacific Foundation, you will oversee on-site construction activities related to deep foundation drilling, cement soil mixing, and shoring and earth retention projects. You will be responsible for managing a team of foremen, client communication, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Direct and supervise day-to-day project operations involving drilling, deep foundation construction, and shoring/earth retention.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor on-site personnel, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring proper staffing and workforce coordination.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict safety practices and compliance with all company, OSHA, and local regulatory standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor construction procedures and work product to maintain high quality and industry standards, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Create and maintain project schedules, coordinating material deliveries and equipment usage to ensure efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Collaborate with project managers to maintain cost control and resource allocation; identify and address potential cost overruns.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and internal management to provide project updates and address any concerns.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily progress, safety reports, material usage, and project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of field supervisory experience in construction, specifically in drilling, deep foundations, or related geotechnical specialties.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with cement soil mixing, trench cutter operations, small and large diameter drilling, shoring, and earth retention systems.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading and managing field teams effectively.
  • Safety Focus: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
