Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead and manage our nursing department across multiple facilities/states. This person will drive excellence in patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Chief Nursing Officer (CNO):

  • Oversee the nursing departments across all facilities, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficient operations. Provide strategic direction and leadership to nursing staff and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure efficient utilization of nursing services.
  • Develop, review, and enforce nursing policies and procedures.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and practices to improve nursing care and operational efficiency. Stay abreast of industry trends and implement best practices.

Qualifications of Chief Nursing Officer (CNO):

  • Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration (Doctorate preferred).
  • Active RN license in New Jersey.
  • 5+ years in senior leadership role in skilled nursing or long-term care.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of improving patient care and operation efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
