More details are available upon interview.Details: The BANC facility features a downstairs dining hall that seats 160 people, an outdoor terrace, and an upstairs players' lounge, in addition to the fuel station. The Beauchamp Athletics Nutrition Center directly supports the vital role that proper nutrition plays in the pursuit of athletic excellence for Baylor's 550 student-athletes. Complete with a 'fuel station' for healthy grab-and-go options, the BANC provides student-athletes with the resources necessary to maintain top-performance health. The assistant director of dining services will assist in managing front-of-house operations, assist the chef with staff management during prep and service periods, manage budget, expenses, and communication with the athletics staff regarding issues that may impact the budget (i.e. food costs, specialty meal items, equipment upgrades, staff overtime, etc.), provide in-service education for staff members.Requirement: Food service management; experience in sports/performance nutrition preferredReports to: Director of Dining Services We Make Applying Easy Want to apply for this job via text messaging? Apply todayJob Summary Summary: As an Assistant Director of Dining Services, you will assist with the day-to-day food service operations of a medium to large-volume location. You will manage and lead a team of associates, and will be responsible for talent development, client relationships, profitability, and supporting financial goals in an assigned area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works with the chef, dietitian, client, and management team in creating nutritious and top-quality food to serve the student-athletes at Baylor University. Maintains a high level of service at an assigned location for student-athletes, overseeing front-of-house operations, and assisting the chef with staff management during meal services.Collaborate with the client to manage budget and expenses for the assigned location. Communicate effectively with clients regarding food costs, equipment upgrades, and other factors impacting budget changes.Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams. Maintains excellent relationships with the client. Manages, trains, and develops associates. Provides regular in-service education for associates on pertinent topics related to the location's operations.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.Strong leadership and communication skills. Financial experience and business acumen skills.Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.Associate's degree is preferred.
