JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Director leads the social service unit that develops and executes service and care plans for residents to provide a supportive and empowering environment that fosters stabilization, independence and self-reliance, and skills development, and enhance the health and general well-being of residents; and ensures services are appropriate and culturally sensitive. They provide operation and administrative support to ensure program and contractual compliance and ensures the accurate and punctual submission of required documentation and reporting to CHI, city, state, and federal agencies. The Director builds and sustains a strong service network with external providers and community-based organizations to support staff and assist residents towards stability and independence.
Pay: $80,000 annual salary.
FLSA: Exempt. Not eligible for overtime.
Schedule: 10am-6pm Tuesday - Saturday (must be available for one 2pm-10pm shift per week). On Call 24 hrs./7days
Location: Eastchester neighborhood Bronx, NY

ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services 5 years' experience with 2 years Supervisory in client services and program management. Minimum 2 years of experience in DHS Shelter Programs. Or a Master's Degree 3 years with 1 year Supervisory in client services and program management. Minimum 2 years of experience in DHS Shelter Programs.
