Job Description

Creative Dining Services is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our creative team at Union University, in Jackson, TN . The Administrative Assistant works within the Dining Services Department as the primary clerical and administrative support person to the department, while greeting office visitors in a friendly and helpful manner. Works professionally and cooperatively as a valued member of the dining team, assisting with any administrative aspect of the dining services program.

Core Responsibilities

• Greets all who enter the administrative offices in a friendly and professional manner
• Answers the administrative office telephones in a professional manner, assuring that calls are forwarded appropriately
• In support of the dining services management team, performs general administrative tasks as assigned (Correspondence, record keeping, bookkeeping, and payroll, etc.)
• Perform all administrative tasks related to new employee hiring procedures.

The successful candidate will have:

• One year experience performing administrative tasks
• High School Degree or equivalent, higher education helpful
• Proficiency in MS Office 365
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
